In the weeks before your first call, your Squad should already be getting to know each other in your Squad’s Group Conversation. If it’s a little bit quiet in there, you can be the one to get the conversation started!

A day or so before the Kick Off Call , post a quick note in your Squad’s Group Conversation to remind them that the Kick Off is mandatory, give them details on what to prepare, and confirm everyone has the video conference details.

Today is the day we finally get to meet! Remember, joining this kick-off video call to introduce yourself and meet the other women in our Squad is a program requirement.

The point of this call is just to get to know each other. Please come prepared with your Squad Goals Worksheet, ready to speak for 2-3 minutes about your current day-to-day situation, your professional goals, upcoming challenges, and what you hope to get out of the Squads program.

This call will take place on Zoom; if you haven’t used Zoom before, please take a minute to test the link beforehand. The link is right on the Squads page, let me know if you don’t have it.

You can join from your computer or from the Zoom mobile app. Don’t forget to bring your headphones to reduce audio feedback!

Don’t forget to also prepare by thinking about your goals - set aside 15 minutes to figure out what you personally want to get out of the program, in addition to all of this thinking on how to support others in reach their goals.
